Happy 88th Birthday Lauren Bacall!

So beautiful, so tragic.

Today marks the 50th anniversary of Marilyn Monroe’s death. R.I.P.

Just hanging out with my cats, drinking tea and watching movies. What an exciting day..

This is how my hair looks like if i just wash it and let it dry.

My collection of perfumes.

Cecil and his new favourite place.

One of the movies today was Martin Scorsese's 'The Aviator'. I'm not a huge Leonardo DiCaprio fan, but in this movie he is doing a very good job as the eccenric Howard Hughes.
And what about those shoes, dresses and hats!?

I so wanna have shoes like that! Those colours are crazy!

Simply stunning shoes!

Kate Beckinsale as Ava Gardner. A bit too high for my taste, but still, what a hat!

I really like blouses with sleeves like that.

That blue combined to brown, just perfect. The costume designer for this movie was Sandy Powell. She's made lots of good movies like Gangs of New York, Interview With The Vampire, Orlando, Velvet Goldmine and Far From Heaven. It would be great to work with someone like her...
Gwen is stunning, as always. Though i don't see a remarkable resemblance between her and Jean Harlow...

Cate Blanchett is a marvelous actress and she is the perfect choice for the role of the legendary Katharine Hepburn.

Happy New Year 1947!

I bought this 1946 Elokuva-Aitta movie magazine from flea market. This is the last issue from the year 1946, and there's pictures of movie stars with their autographs...

My favourite, Lauren Bacall! "All the best for a Happy New Year to my finnish friends."

Oh, Errol! "To the readers of 'Elokuva-Aitta'. A very Merry Christmas and a brighter new year."

Bix likes Elokuva-Aitta magazine too...
