xxx noir party

Vitaminwater launched a new drink, xxx noir and invited me and some of my friends to the party. The dresscode was xxx. I was wearing a Fiona Timantti hat, a see through dress (fleamarket find), black bra, black vintage 50's girdle, black belt, seamed stockings and super high heels.

The dress was really see through.

p.s. It may seem that my life is one continuous party, but i can assure you it's not. I work almost every day of the week, but it might be boring to post pictures of me attaching diamonds etc. Besides, i work alone at my atelier at the moments, so there is no-one to take pictures of me working...

@BAR in Helsinki

 We were just walking on the streets of Helsinki with my friend Miia Magia, when we saw this place. A place we had heard of but never visited. We went in. I'm glad we did. It's a pop up bar by Absolut Vodka and it is decorated by many different artists. The space has been designed by Klaus Aalto and Tero Kuitunen (yes, the wonderful guy who makes the beutiful diamond neclaces!) together with Kasino Creative Studio. Clothing designer Daniel Palillo, visual artist Katja Tukiainen, illustrator Rami Niemi and concept artist Mikko Kuorinki has updatet the window every Thursday.

My cats are gonna be on tv (and me too)

 I was happy to be asked to be a part of a new tv series about blogs and bloggers. It's called Blogistania and it will bw out next month!

The camera crew came to my home and to my atelier. It was a bit stressful, since my home is a very private place to me... My cats Bix and Cecil are in almost every frame, i'm sure. My little tv-stars! They were very exited.

This marvelous 30's dress is one of the dresses i found while dumpster diving a while ago. I told you about it in this post, remember? I'll post pictures of other dresses i found later, when i'm wearing them. Ofcourse not all of them were my size, some of them i gave away or sold.

We took three non-vintage, "normal" girls, Miia did the make-up, i did the hair and styling and Saara took the photos. What do you think? Do YOU wanna be a pin-up?

Weird sensations (and how to get rid of them)

In the last few days i've had the most bizarre feelings and thoughts. First of all, i had a terrible ugre to watch "Friends" and pretend it's the 1990's again (when i was a kid and i didn't have a care in the world). And second, i felt envious for someone who is rich and famous. That's funny, since i usually don't dream about being rich nor famous. Yes, sure, i would love to afford all the vintage treasures i see. Although if i were famous, i might have to give up dumpster diving, and we can't have that, no sir.

Do you ever have those bizarre thoughts that you don't recognise as your own?

So, i went trough some of my photo archives and posted just some of the photos that reminded me of the good things in my life that i love and photos that made me smile.

I get to travel to new places from time to time.

I get to share my passion for vintage with great friends, here with Rhia and Riikka.

And by the way, i'm holding a cigarette in that picture, but i don't smoke anymore (it's only been five weeks..). I had a dream about smoking last night though.
