Teacher Style ..at last we're back (days 42-44) traveling and teaching

Pardon me for being absent for a while...lots of things going on and off work. But here's few more days of my Teacher Style photo project.
We had halloween theme at school and here's my outfit! Vintage 50's dress and catears and a tail i made myself. (Wonderful 90's film camera vibes in this photo...)

Tired but extremely happy, me and my students organized a fashion show and it was a success!
Wearing vintage and second hand.

I also visited Pietarsaari and the Centria University of Applied SciencesI was invited there to teach the millinery basics to a very cool and motivated group of people. I was very happy to share my knowledge with those young talents.

Exotic showgirl headpiece for burlesque starlet Cherry Dee

My latest big burlesque piece for the super sweet Cherry Dee (a.k.a. The freelancer with the fashionblog ;)! (Oh, don't mind the mess, my table always looks like that when im working on a huge piece...) There's lots of details, as usual. Mere volume does not do it for me, just huge amount of feathers or flowers makes it look big, but you need details to make it look interesting.

Tassels. Covered with Swarovski diamonds adn beads.

In the making. Base of the headpiece is buckram and millinery wire. Covered with sequin fabric, ribbon appliques and glass beads and Swarovski chrystals.

The huge banana leafs are detachable and can be used as fans.

Another huge showgirl/burlesque headpiece i've been making..

For the past month i've been working on this burlesque headpiece for  a Finnish blonde bombshell... I might have gone a little bit crazy with the detail, but it came out fabulous. I can't  show it to you yet, since i never post photos on my finished creations before my customers have shown them to the world. It's their premier ;)
This one will be seen on the Helsinki Burlesque Fesival this weekend!
